RES (Ruffini Engineering Services) was founded in 2005 with one clear goal: to provide engineering solutions that people can trust. What began as a small, family-run practice has steadily grown into a multi-state firm with offices in Colorado and Florida — yet we’ve held onto the values that shaped us from the start.
Over the years, we’ve supported hundreds of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. From helping homeowners safeguard their foundations to guiding businesses through permitting and designing seawalls or containment systems, our work reflects a wide range of expertise. No matter the scale, we approach each project with the same philosophy: listen first, communicate clearly, and deliver plans that stand the test of time.

Locations & Licenses
RES proudly operates from our offices in Lakewood, Colorado and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. These two hubs allow us to serve a wide range of projects across the Rocky Mountain and Gulf Coast regions with local expertise and quick response times.
- Colorado – We design for the unique challenges of Front Range soils, freeze–thaw cycles, and mountain construction. Services include foundations, inspections, grading, drainage, and retaining walls.
- Florida – From coastal conditions to strict recertification requirements, Florida projects demand specialized knowledge. We provide seawall design, stormwater management, drainage solutions, and 30/40-year structural recertifications.
Beyond our two main offices, RES engineers maintain professional licensure in several additional states, enabling us to respond to client needs outside of Colorado and Florida. This broader reach ensures that we can step in to support projects across diverse conditions while maintaining the same commitment to safety, efficiency, and practical design.
